Inside Line Promotions – WARRNAMBOOL, Victoria, Australia (Jan. 29) – Winged sprint car driver Scott Bogucki registered one of the biggest wins of his racing career last week during the most prestigious event in Australia.

Bogucki, who drives a SawBlade.com sponsored sprint car on the ASCS National Tour during the season in the United States, made the most of his return to his home country by winning a preliminary night at the 48th annual Grand Annual Sprint Car Classic opener last Friday at Premier Speedway.
Bogucki qualified fourth quickest in his group before he captured his first heat race. A third-place run in his second heat race locked him into the main event. He battled several of the top drivers in the world before coming out on top during the main event.

The feat was especially impressive given that Bogucki bested more than 50 other drivers, including NASCAR star Kyle Larson, Tim Kaeding, Shane Stewart, James McFadden and many others.
Bogucki resumed action on Sunday during the event finale. He placed eighth in a heat race to make the main event. Bogucki drove into the top five before a late-race incident relegated him to a 17th-place result.

He is slated to kick off the ASCS season in the United States with the SawBlade.com supported team Feb. 28-29 at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. Bogucki recorded a career-best season with the series last year when he won three events and placed fifth in the championship standings.
