Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (July 31, 2019) – Scott Bogucki and his SawBlade.com sponsored team are heading into arguably the biggest two weeks of racing for sprint cars with a ton of confidence and a “killer motor.”

Bogucki, who has posted a pair of ASCS National Tour wins in his second season running with the organization, will compete at the 29th annual My Place Hotels 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank this weekend. The Australian transplant will qualify Friday night prior to Saturday’s event finale.

“We wanted to shake the car down this past Saturday at Knoxville and set fast time. Unfortunately, I put on a 410 right rear tire and we were disqualified. Actually that tire probably slowed us down. But the take-away is our Ostrich motor is a killer. I’m so excited to get to racing Friday.”

Last year during the 360 Knoxville Nationals Bogucki started third in his qualifying night feature, but a loss of tear-offs had him struggling to an 11th-place finish. After locking into the Saturday night finale he got caught up in a crash early in the main event.

“We made huge strides from 2017 to 2018 and I’m confident for even better results this year”

Following the 360 Nationals Bogucki, the 2018 ASCS National Rookie of the Year, will compete with the series on Tuesday at Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Then the SawBlade.com backed team will switch engines for the 59th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals presented by Casey’s General Stores hosted by Knoxville Raceway Aug. 7-10.

“I was literally 300 feet from qualifying for the A Main our qualifying night of the Nationals last year. We qualified sixth and just missed it in the heat and battled for that final transfer in the B Main and lost it in the final turn. Both weekends come down to good pill draws and laying down a solid qualifying lap. We have the engines to have a good couple of weeks so I’m excited.”

SEASON STATS –

20 races, 2 wins, 7 top fives, 14 top 10s, 16 top 15s, 18 top 20s
