Inside Line Promotions – LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (May 10, 2021) – Scott Bogucki is heading to Tennessee on a mission to complete a race night.
Bogucki and his team plan on racing this Saturday at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap during the next Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour event.
The SawBlade.com sponsored driver has been electric on the track this year, battling for a podium during nearly every start. However, that hasn’t been reflected in the end result during the last three weeks.
“We’ve got to start finishing some races,” Bogucki said. “We’re having the worst luck ever. We have speed everywhere we go, but aren’t getting through the nights. But I’ll keep taking the speed and working on the luck part.”
Bogucki won a heat race and was running third in the ASCS National Tour feature last Saturday at I-96 Speedway when he narrowly caught an infield tire with his left front wheel.
“It was my fault I nicked an infield tire,” he said. “I spun around and kept the car going. ASCS rules are you blend back in so I should have blended in around seventh. The rules got changed and we were put to the tail. There’s no more blending in.”
Bogucki restarted at the rear of the field and rebounded to finish 11th.
It marked the third straight week Bogucki was running in a podium position when an incident on the track resulted in a finish outside of the top 10.
“That one really hurt us in the points,” he said. “Hopefully we can have a smooth night and get a finish this Saturday in Tennessee.”
